Hello everyone! After two long months of unannounced blog break I'm back and have brought you next to incredibly delicious pasta with walnuts also nice news: I am now in the 4th month pregnant with our absolute wish child :) In the first 3 months I was sooo tired that I could not raise myself to cook or blog after work or weekend. So slowly the usual powers come back and I'm glad to be back!

Pasta with walnuts

In the pasta I brought you today, I could just sit down, so I like to eat it! I discovered the recipe in an older issue of Deli, my favorite cooking magazine, and immediately fell in love with it. Roasted nuts such as pine nuts, hazelnuts or even walnuts, I always really like pasta dishes. That's why this pasta with walnuts, peppers and basil has also completely convinced me.Hard cheese > Grana Padano, grated

    1. Divide the garlic into thin slices, cut the peppers across into strips about 1 cm wide.
  • chop walnut kernels, roast in a pan without fat and set aside.
  • Prepare the pasta according to the package instructions.
  • In the meantime Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a large pan and fry the garlic in medium heat for two minutes. Add the paprika and simmer briefly.
  • Cut the half of the basil leaves into small pieces.
  • Drain the pasta, collecting 300 ml of pasta water.
  • Mix the noodles and pasta water in the pan with the pepper-garlic mixture and heat.

    Drizzle pasta with remaining olive oil.
  • Serve with walnuts, cheese and basil leaves sprinkled.
